New Update

VSNL does it again, topping the charts. This is followed by Bharti-Touchtel-Mantra combo. BSNL again continues to chase Bharti and has closed in on it with a significant margin. Satyam and Reliance have moved up a few notches at the cost of MTNL, while Spectranet continues to trail behind finishing last and barely managing to remain in the club. If we look at VSNL's brand loyalty percentage alone, we find that most of its existing customers are quite satisfied. Things look a little different when we look at Dishnet's brand loyalty breakup, as it's also a part of VSNL/Tata Indicom now. Around 8% of existing Dishnet customers showed interest in moving to Reliance and BSNL. MTNL and Reliance are in little trouble. MTNL needs to be doubly careful, as not only are people moving away from it, it's also loosing on the UPI index. Currently, it's facing threats from Bharti and VSNL. MTNL has put in some control measures to retain its brand loyalty. While its brand loyalty was sitting at 50% last year, it's 80% this year. Though this is not good enough. Reliance has some stiff competition from Satyam. 20% of existing Reliance customers want to move to Satyam. Satyam has managed to improve its brand loyalty this year, moving from 62% to 75%. Satyam is also pulling some traffic BSNL. The maximum shift is happening towards VSNL, with everyone except Reliance customers wanting to move to the ISP. Spectranet enjoys 100% brand loyalty from its existing customers. VSNL received maximum votes from all regions compared to others except East, where it was beaten by BSNL. 50% of the respondents from the East preferred BSNL, as compared to 23% for VSNL. Spectranet didn't get any votes from the West or East zones, neither did MTNL and Bharti. VSNL got the highest votes across various industry verticals we covered. Satyam had a stronger hold compared to Bharti in the BPO segment.

BSNL was the second choice amongst users who voted from the BFSI segment. Bharti was number two amongst the manufacturing, communications & media, and services organizations. VSNL also enjoyed maximum support from companies of all , except those with turnover between 50 to 100 crores. Here, Bharti stole the show. For the number two spot there, BSNL beat everybody amongst very large enterprises crossing 1000 crores revenue. Bharti was second choice amongst companies with up to 50 crores turnover.
