Intex Launches Cloud X1+, 3.5” Smartphone Priced Below Rs. 3000

As Internet users in the country set to surpass the 240 million mark, Intex Technologies, one of the fastest growing mobile phones, IT accessories and consumer durables companies, today introduced the Cloud X1+, most affordable 3.5" smartphone in the below-Rs.3000 price category, and the Cloud Y11, one of the low cost 3G-enabled 4" smartphone priced below Rs.5000. Running on Android platforms, the Cloud Y11 and the Cloud X1+ is targeted at widespread rural populations who wish to replace their feature phones and use fully equipped smartphones to get a rich user experience at a much affordable price.

The launch of the Cloud X1+ is a fulfillment of Intex's promise last year to introduce a smartphone priced below Rs. 3000. The Cloud X1+, available in Black and White and priced at Rs. 2990, is the cheapest 3.5" device. The Cloud Y11, available in Black, Grey and White, is one of the lowest-priced 3G phone, pegged at an MRP of Rs. 4490. Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head of the Mobile vertical atIntex said, "Cloud X1+ and Y11 are specially designed for first-time smartphone users who want to do away with their feature phones. These devices come embedded with advanced features to enhance the user's overall experience of a Smartphone. These phones are a perfect blend of style and technology at rock- bottom price."

He further added, "Intex endeavors to offer smartphones at a pocket friendly price without compromising on the screen size to provide users unique viewing experience." The Intex Cloud X1+ and Cloud Y11 are both dual-SIM phones are pre-loaded with smart gravity sensors. The Cloud X1+ is powered with 1 GHz processor and Cloud Y11 runs on Dual Core processor which facilitate multi-tasking and provide an advanced gaming experience through enriched graphics support. Furthermore, both phones offer an ‘áuto rotate' facility, which allows the phone screen to automatically rotate images, video playbacks and/or menus towards the direction the user is facing at that point of time.

Features of Intex Cloud X1+

This phone offers a RAM of 128 MB, a 256 MB ROM and a 2.0 megapixel camera. A classic feature of the Cloud X1+ is its ‘Unlimited Phonebook', which provides leeway for users to store more than 1000 contacts with multiple options that can be categorized into different groups. The phone also has a memory card with a capacity of up to 4GB, which users can avail of to back up and restore their database of contacts. Pre-loaded applications on the Intex Cloud X1+ repertoire include Whatsapp, Opera Mini, which allows quick Internet browsing and facilitate seamless connections and data transfers, Intex Cloud which offers 5 GB of free Cloud Space and preloaded games to provide users wonderful gaming experience

Features of Intex Cloud Y11

The Intex Cloud Y11 is loaded with Jelly Bean OS:4.2.2, which is speedy and more responsive. It comes witha 256 MB RAM, a 512 ROM, a dual camera facility - a VGA front camera and a 2.0 megapixel rear camera - and has an internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB - a feature that would specifically enhance the multitasking and gaming experience, allowing users to use interesting applications like BigFlix, a multi-lingual movie-on-demand service, and OLX, a next-gen portal of free online classified ads, where users can design rich ads with pictures and integrate their ads and/or buying and selling activities with their profiles on various social networks. This phone is also pre-loaded with the Matrabhasha app and Zapak.com, which enables users to download and play unlimited games for free on their Android phones.It is also powered with Intex' OTA (Over The air) update application, which enables users to upgrade their programs and applications seamlessly, and fix bugs with a simple click. Intex Cloud which provides 5 GB of free Space is also available in the phone.

The Intex Cloud X1+ and the Intex Cloud Y11 are both available on display at 40,000 plus retail outlets, several hypermarkets and other leading e-commerce portals from today.
