Apple Inc’s official partners Aircel and Bharti Airtel have said that iPhone 4S will be launched in India soon. According to Airtel sources, the launch may happen on November 25 mid-night. Airtel started pre-booking of iPhone 4S from Monday.

Aircel, which announced pre-booking of iPhone 4S from Nov 18, confirmed the launch of iPhone 4S on its official Facebook page last Friday. However, Aircel has not announced a specific launch date. Last week, Apple India spokesman told CIOL that Apple has plans to make iPhone 4S available in more than 70 countries by the end of the year. But he didn’t confirm whether India would figure among those 70 nations.

Apple launched its new smartphone in about 15 countries, including three Asian countries, last Friday. According to BGR India, the 16GB iPhone 4S will be priced close to Rs.. 40,000. The top of the line 64GB variant is likely to be over Rs.. 50,000.

The iPhone 4S features a dual-core processor, a 8 megapixel camera and also a revolutionary artificial intelligence based personal assistant called Siri which works via voice recognition.
