iQOO Neo 9 Series with 144Hz Display and Dimensity 9300 Launches in China

As anticipated, iQOO has revealed the iQOO Neo9 and Neo9 Pro smartphones in China. With a peak brightness of 1400 nits and a 6.78-inch 1.5K 1-144Hz LTPO AMOLED screen with 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and 16,000 brightness levels with SGS reduced blue light certification, they are powerful screens.

The Neo9 Pro has a self-developed Q1 chip and is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, whereas the Neo9 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. These include up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

The iQoo Neo 9 series follows the iQoo Neo 8 smartphones launched in China in May. Both the new smartphones are packed with premium specifications and are almost identical as well.

iQoo Neo 9 Series: Key Specifications 

Both the iQoo Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro have a 6,780-inch OLED screen that supports 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The fingerprint sensor and iQoo Q1 chip are also integrated into the screens of both smartphones, which improves the viewing and gaming experience.

In terms of design, both iQoo Neo 9 series smartphones have a flat body and dual rear cameras. Under the hood, the iQoo Neo 9 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, while the Neo 9 Pro is powered by a Dimensity 9300 chipset.

For photography, the iQoo Neo 9 series has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 main camera with OIS, which is also found in the Vivo X100 smartphone. The Vanilla and Pro versions have 8MP and 50MP ultra-wide lenses. Both phones also have a 16-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video calling.

Both phones also feature a 6K VC liquid-cooled 3D heat dissipation system for thermal management. The iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro also have a 5160mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.  Other features of the iQOO Neo 9 series include dual speakers, IR Blaster, X-Axis linear motor, WiFi-7 and more. Both smartphones run on Android 14 based OriginOS 4 operating system.

iQoo Neo 9 Series: Price and Availability 

Both  iQoo Neo 9 and 9 Pro are available in three different color options – Soul Red and White  (with a two-tone leather textured back panel), Nautical Blue and Fighter Black colors.  The base variant of the iQoo Neo 9 smartphone with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage starts at CNY 2,299 (close to Rs 26,700).

The smartphone is available in three other RAM and storage variants – 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB configurations priced at CNY 2,499 (Rs 29,000 approx), CNY 2799 (Rs 32,600 approx) and CNY 3,199 (almost Rs. 37,200).

Meanwhile, the iQoo Neo 9 Pro is available in multiple RAM and storage variants. The 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants are priced at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 35,000) and CNY 3,299 (approximately Rs. 38,500).

On the other hand, the 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB variants are priced at CNY 3,599 (almost Rs. 42,000) and CNY 3,999 (almost Rs. 46,500).
