According to the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, the Vivo X100 series will be available in India in the first week of January. Vivo is teasing the debut of new X series smartphones on its India website with a particular webpage. In November, the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro and the brand-new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC were introduced in China. The handsets will be available in select global countries later this month. The Indian models will also have the same chipset and 8T LTPO display. The Vivo X100 family's main selling point is its cameras. They have three back cameras, the most important of which is a 50-megapixel 1-inch-type primary camera.
According to a media invite sent on Tuesday, the Vivo X100 series will be available in India on 4 January. Furthermore, Vivo India has just launched a new homepage for its future series. The Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro in India will be available in Asteroid Black, Startrail Blue, and Sunset. Funtouch OS 14, MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, Zeiss-branded triple rear camera modules, an IP68-rated design, a V3 imaging chip, and 8T LTPO screens are all verified. The smartphone will be unveiled on the same day as Xiaomi's Redmi Note 13 5G series in the country.
Price of the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro
In China, the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro start at CNY 4,999 (about Rs. 56,500) and CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 50,000). The Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro were introduced in Hong Kong for HK$7,998 (about Rs. 85,224) and HK$5,998 (approximately Rs. 63,917), respectively. The pricing for the Indian models is expected to be comparable.
Vivo X100 series characteristics
The Vivo X100 series has curved 6.78-inch 8 LTPO AMOLED panels with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Both variants are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC and Vivo's V3 processor. They have Zeiss-branded triple rear camera modules and a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
The camera combination on the ordinary Vivo X100 features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 VCS bionic primary camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64-megapixel Zeiss super-telephoto camera with 100x clear zoom.
In comparison, the Vivo X100 Pro has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 1-inch type sensor with OIS capability, a 50-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel Zeiss APO super-telephoto camera with OIS. The battery in the Vivo X100 is 5,000mAh with 120W fast charging support, while the battery in the Vivo X100 Pro is 5,400mAh with 100W charging and 50W wireless charging support.
