After updating to the most recent iOS version, several iPhone owners have reported heating problems. However, only iPhone owners who charge their devices wirelessly are affected by this issue. Nevertheless, iPhone users should update to the most recent iOS version because it contains several security fixes.

  • According to a ZDNet article, updating to iOS 16.4.1 caused the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Mac to overheat and crash. The smartphone reached temperatures of 39.1 degrees Celsius after wireless charging.
