HP & Wipro Lead in IT Support & Services

HP wins the Users' Choice Club in the 100-499 employee segment, handing a nice pasting to the runner-up IBM. In the 500-999 employee segment Wipro turns the tables on HP, while HCL Infosystems follows on at 3rd position.

The CMC users are most satisfied with their choice as it gets a rating of 4.7/5 in the 100-499 employee segment. IBM and TCS follow on closely with 4.5/5 each. The satisfaction levels are pretty much the same with the top seven brands, hovering around 4.2/5, in the 500-999 segment.

Of the people who currently subscribe to HCL Infosystems in the 100-499 segment, 50% cited its brand name as the reason. Likewise 61% of HP users quoted quality of service as the reason for choosing it as the AMC. It was closely followed by Reliance at 60% on this count. 67% of CMC users quoted value for money as the reason for subscribing to CMC services. In the 500-999 segment, 50% of TCS users quoted brand name as the reason for owning it while 63% of Reliance users quote its quality of service as to why they're with that brand.

We also checked the reasons why users are likely to purchase a particular brand in future. In the 100-499 employee segment, 56% of those likely to buy HCL Infosystem's services quoted its brand name as the reason, while 64% of those likely to purchase Wipro's services quoted its quality of service as the reason. Within the 500-999 employee segment, 83% of those likely to purchase Tata Communications' services quoted its quality of service as the reason while 50% of those likely to purchase Dell's services think they are value for money.

Loyalties for current service providers seem to be unflinching again as can be judged by above 90% ratings for all service providers in the 100-499 employee segment. Only 10% of HCL Infosystems users plan to switch to other brands in future. In the 500-999 employee segment, the story remains the same but here Reliance needs to watch out as 12% of its users are going to shift base.
