New Update

The JBL Voyager is stunner in terms of looks and is a Red Dot Design Award Winner 2013. It features a saucer shaped design and has a nice, solid build to it. The JBL Voyager is a portable speaker with a subwoofer docking station. Setting up the speaker won't take long and is fairly easy. When pairing is over Bluetooth the speaker emits a popping sound indicating that you are connected. The speaker is equipped with Aux-in and USB ports for charging smart phones. All the controls for powering up, volume level and Bluetooth connectivity are on the circular wheel of the portable speaker. Apart from Bluetooth it also has 3.5 mm jack for wired connections. The detachable portable speaker can be carried along anywhere and gives up to four hours of music playback.

Performance

We listened to various genres of music through JBL Voyager to test for sound clarity, bass level etc. With JBL Voyager you will get decent bass and good sound as long as you don't crank it up with much heavy bass. On tracks with intense bass JBL voyager distorts a bit at maximum volume. Lowering the volume distortion fades away and it delivers a clean audio. Also there is no hissing and buzzing sound while playing jazz, acoustics. So overall we feel it is a good speaker to set your house on party mode. There is decent clarity in vocals when listening to music at lower volume levels. We connected through Bluetooth and listened to music from a distance of around 10m, sound was clearly audible with no loss of connectivity. The JBL voyager has decent sound no matter what type of music you are listening to.
