Samsung SyncMaster 240T is a TFT-LCD monitor that can be used for a variety of business applications that require a large viewing screen. It has a diagonal viewable area of 24”. This size means that you can view two full A4 size pages side by side or view a movie in wide-angle. The monitor supports a range of video inputs, right from VGA for PCs to DV for other video sources like camcorders, VCRs and DVD players. It gives a maximum resolution of 1920x1200 pixels at 60 Hz vertical refresh rate and 16.7 million colors. The monitor claims a wide viewing angle of 170 degrees.
The monitor has a few interesting features. There’s a dual input interface, which allows you to connect two computers and switch between them. There’s a picture-in-picture feature to allow you to view input from one video source on the entire screen, and a small inset of the other video source at the same time. A multi-screen feature lets you surf the Internet and watch TV at the same time. The monitor can either be wall-mounted or mounted on an arm or pivot. All the connectors are located on its rear panel, and you can also hook two optional 5W speakers on its sides. All monitor controls are accessible from an infrared remote and it has an OSD for the settings. A digital zoom and pan option is also there to zoom a particular selection on the screen.
