Again, no surprises on who the winner is. Second placed, Epson’s share seems to be on the decline. Two years back, Epson

had a UPI of 9. Last year, it was 6, and this year, it is down to 4. Samsung was a distant number three.

Samsung is beginning to get aggressive in this market, and it’d be interesting to see what they can do to change the dynamics of the market. What should worry the other players is that 94 percent of those who wanted good quality, opted for HP.

Similarly, 86 percent of those who wanted better service and 79 percent of who wanted a well-known brand, voted for HP. It would take some effort to dislodge that profile.
