New Update

Lava understood it very well that there is an appetite for a low range phone in the market that can deliver good performance and does not sacrifice on the features. Lava Iris X1 packs all the features of a highend smartphone at a fairly low pricepoint. With Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box, Iris X1 succeeds in providing an enriched software experience with no such lags while multitasking.

Lava deserves a thumbsup in the design department of Iris X1. The well-engineered, smartly crafted handset feels sturdy in hands and offers a premium feel. Its sleek design with square edges will let anyone mistaken it for an Apple's iPhone 4 or 5. It is built of good quality plastic with chrome surrounding the sides that certainly gives it a solid feel. Iris X1 is perfectly weighted with buttons rightly placed that offers a good tactilefeedback.

Iris X1 boasts an 8 MP rear camera equipped with Sony's BSI sensor that gave us some good shots in proper daylight condition. Indoor pictures was blurry sometimes though. The 2MP front facing camera performs well for video calling and selfies.

The phone has a 4.5 inch IPS display that offers vibrant colors with good viewing angles, however an element of sharpness feels missing sometimes but considering the pricepoint, its digestible. The 1.2GHz Broadcom quadcore chip set with 1GB RAM performed well with browsing, playing media files, games and other regular tasks. The 1800 mAh battery delivered an eight hours backup with a fair usage of day to day tasks and ran for three hours twenty minutes on HD video playback with full brightness at WiFi.
