The project involved a complete B2B travel and tour management application
that enables an organization to manage the tour operations cycle from enquiry to
balance sheet. The application takes care of all tour business segments; FIT,
GIT Series, Ad hoc, Charters and Excursion management. It also offers features
such as product planning, operations, and accounting and MIS suite for all
levels of executives. The application also has an integrated booking engine and
modules for B2C can be provided separately for hotels, transport and packages.
It has modules like Centralized Content Management, Centralized Contracting,
Enquiry and Operations, Booking, Quality, Profile Management along with To Do
task management, Sales team activity management, Centralized image gallery and a
comprehensive MIS suite. The entire system has replaced the manual front office
and book keeping jobs, in which the travel business has to devote most of its
time. The system is highly customizable, taking into account all the
permutations and combinations of the travel industry. With this, the client is
able to finalize both international and Indian accounts within 23 days, unlike 3
months earlier. It is based on Oracle 10g and can be integrated with Oracle
Financials as well. Overall, the project integrates all points of sales (like
mail, website and call center) to a central database and provides flexibility
for generating any type of information/MIS anytime, anywhere.
