New Update

Lenovo has entered the tablet fray in India with three varied devices that cater to different consumers and S6000 forms part of the premium segment that comes in 10.1 inch form factor. The tablet exudes all-around good quality finishing and design aesthetics. The front part is covered by black bezel over the display while at the back you have well built plastic finishing over matte. Strongly built the tablet weighs around 560 grams, comparable to other big-display devices.

The display quality offers good color and crisp details but strangely, the graphics quality on the device is fairly medium and for a 1280x800 resolution, we have seen better. However, the speakers are well equipped to perform all alone. The tablet poses no performance related issues like heating or display lags which is not warranted from a high-end device.

The rear camera is good enough for a tablet at this price but without any flash support, it tends to wear-off in low-light conditions. In terms of connectivity, it comes with miniHDMI port, and microUSB port that doubles up as charging port as well as to connect external devices. You also have microSD and SIM slot on the left. Playing normal games like Subway Surfer should not really bring any harm to the device but the moment heavy-loaded games like Asphalt 8: Airborne, Dead Trigger 3 are tried out, the tablet fails to match the experience which gets recognised by 3DMark Ice Storm at 1557, average to say the least.

Coming to the final aspect of a device, the battery life is definitely the silver lining of S6000 like the other Lenovo tablets. It lasted our tests (HD movies at full brightness on Wi-Fi) for more than 8 hours on single charge which implies the heavy-duty load that the tablet can undertake and still manage to last for a day or even more.
