In a bid to stregthen its position in the Indian tablet space, Lenovo has launched A7-50 tablet that offers 3G connectivity and voice calling support. The company has been around for a while in the country with IdeaPad range of tablets priced between Rs 7,000 and Rs 26,000 ranging from 7 inch to 10.1 inch in terms of device form factor.
The new tablet from Lenovo comes with an IPS screen that delivers a wide viewing angle. It packs 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB using SD card. The slim tablet comes with 5 MP rear camera and 2 MP front facing camera for video calling. It boasts a 3450 mAh battery that can run for up to 7 hours which for a voice calling device may sound a bit less.
The 7-inch tablet weighs at 320 grams and is crammed in 9.6 mm thick body. It runs on Android 4.2, but can be upgraded to KitKat.
