Can the ThinkReality VRX headset be used as an all-in-one standalone?

The ThinkReality VRX headset can be used as an all-in-one standalone, wirelessly, or wired connected to a PC or workstation. Lenovo asserts that its most recent VR headset is more comfortable, lighter, and slimmer than competing products. Additionally, it provides a 6DoF experience and full-colour, high-resolution pass-through capabilities, which are helpful in various simulations.

It boasts a refresh rate of 70-90Hz, 12GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a resolution of 2280 x 2280 per eye. The  ThinkReality VRX headset contains built-in speakers, two microphones, a 3.5mm connection, and a field of view of 95 degrees. It also includes buttons on the headset, 6DoF controllers, and hand tracking. A 6,900mAh battery that can be charged using USB-C supports all of this.

Lenovo's ThinkReality VRX headset, like Meta Quest Pro, has pancake lenses stacked on top of one another and a cooling system that directs heat away from the wearer's face. The business also provides XR solutions, such as ThinkReality XR Services, which comprises a cloud platform that may assist with the worldwide deployment and management of enterprise applications and offers end-to-end services to help customers from strategy to delivery.

The ThinkReality A3 AR glasses unveiled earlier this year at MWC 2023 are among the company's commercial XR hardware solutions that have recently been expanded to include the headset. The Lenovo ThinkReality VRX will launch in a few locations in June of this year, with prices starting at $1,299.
