The biggest USP of the Lenovo P series has always been its battery, and it is the same with the P2.

The Lenovo P2 sports a massive battery capacity of 5100 mAh and is only 8.3 mm thick. The P2 also sports a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080p Super AMOLED display along with a full metal unibody design. Running on Android 6.0, P2 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with 4 GB of RAM and it will come with 32GB or 64GB storage options.

The phone has a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera for selfies. The phone supports dual-SIM capability with 4G and VoLTE and a microSD of up to 256 GB.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.

The Lenovo P2 has a fingerprint scanner on the front, NFC support and comes in gold and gray color options.

The Lenovo Vibe P1 which was announced alongside the P1m in India last year was priced at Rs 15,999. However, it will be interesting to see the company’s price positioning for P2 this time.

The major highlight of Vibe P1 was its 5000mAh battery which is also the case with Lenovo P2.
