The X100e is the latest ultra portable laptop from Lenovo. It has an
11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel LCD. Powered by an AMD
Athlon Neo NV40 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, the X100e has AMD
M780G chipset with ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics. The top lid of the X100e has a
matte surface, 3 USB ports one of which is powered, a card reader, VGA out,
Ethernet ports and boasts of full size spill resistant keyboard and a Trackpoint
alongside multi-touch trackpad. There is no optical drive as such.
What is impressive is that it plays high definition files without stutter.
The speakers performs well and had loud output inspite of being placed at the
bottom. Another impressive feature is the integrated webcam that is great not
just in ample light, but in low light as well.
When tested, X100e scored 989 marks in PC Mark, which is a decent score. It
scored 1041 Marks in 3Dmark06, which is a good score for a notebook at this
price. Basic games and HD movies also work great thanks to the ATI graphics.
However, the battery life of 2hours and 45 minutes is a let down.

Bottomline: The Thinkpad X100e is a great ultraportable notebook that
combines work with play and at its price, it would impress anyone who is looking
for a netbook
