Here’s a color inkjet with a host of interesting features–network enabled, automatic paper type sensing and automatic cartridge alignment as well as Accu-feed paper handling, which eliminates paper jams. There were no paper jams during our tests. For checking the automatic paper type detection, we printed a full-page color graphic on glossy photo-paper and coated paper. When we left the printer’s setting to automatic paper type sensing, the printer adjusted itself in both cases with

quality being the same as with manual selection of appropriate paper type.

The software has many features. For one, it can detect Windows shutdown and turn off the printer. Canceling print jobs was also pretty quick. We could even cancel an ongoing print, and the printer simply stopped printing and ejected

the paper.

Itautomatically detects network installation and prompts for an IP address. A user just installs the software, and it detects and configures the printer.

Printing speed, though, was not as rated–a problem with most inkjets. It took around 14 secs to print a single sheet of paper, and in a multi-page document, the remaining pages took around 8 secs each to complete. Print quality was good with text as well with the minimum readable font size being 2 point. Line art and curves showed no problems either.
