Technology is changing every day, and it can be hard for us to keep a track of all that is possible with the help of tech. Now when talking about technology, most people get stuck on things like computers, laptops, smartphones, etc but technology is much more than that. Anything that makes your life easier and adds value to your daily life, is technology. Water Repellents

The first on this list is of life-changing tech inventions is water repellent. Now how is this life-changing? For starters, this makes everything that it gets in contact with averse to water. There is a company called Neverwet that has come out with a water repellent spray that can be applied on anything ranging from clothes, shoes to other surfaces like glass and concrete. This spray makes the surface completely water repellent and keeps the surface dry. The company has tested this product on people undergoing military trials and all of them, after their drill, came out completely dry. An upgrade to this is something called the Aerogel. You can apply this directly on your skin, immerse yourself in the swimming pool and come out bone dry. However, the former makes more sense as that lets you keep your belongings from getting unwantedly wet.

Glowing Plants

Scientists have figured out a way to make plants work as light sources. They have managed to inject watercress with luciferase, the same enzyme that makes the fireflies glow, and plants have followed the suit. The implications are multi-faceted here. Plants can grow in the harshest of conditions, they can create and consume their own energy, and they can reproduce in numbers. This means that you will have a light source that also takes in Carbon Dioxide and gives out fresh Oxygen along with being a light source.

Matternet Drones

Sci-Fi has been a fascinating genre for a lot of tech enthusiasts and if you also get carried away on thinking about machines being the biggest helping hand to humans, then you should definitely know about this next invention. There is a company called Matternet that is building an automatic drone network specializing in delivering blood samples and medicines. The execution of the complete thing looks straight out of a movie. It is powered by a behind-the-scene cloud software solution. This will help the drones to know what supplies need to be delivered to what locations on their own. The drones can dispatch themselves, they can navigate, travel up to 20 kilometres away, and they can recharge themselves, all day every day. The implications of such a network are enormous, and this might become more than just a medical facility.

Third Thumb

What is the most efficient physical part of your body? It is the thumb. However, sometimes we wish that we had an extra thumb to make the work a lot easier. Well, you can have one now. Scientists have figured out a way of creating a working extra thumb. It is controlled using wireless sensors connected to your big toe. Initially, this sounds gimmicky but the studies have found that over a period of time, people get used to it, and it starts feeling like an actual extra finger. Now all of a sudden, people are able to do things that required 2 hands with just one hand. With its right implications, factory workers can become 50% more productive and surgeons might not need an assistant any more and most importantly, you can hold and stir a cup of tea without using the other hand.

Artificial Humans

This might look and sound like a joke to a number of people, but this is actually true. People who aren't actually people already exist. There is a website called "thispersondoesnotexist". Every time you refresh the page, it uses 2 neural networks to fight against each other and learn from each other to develop a shockingly realistic face that does not exist. Samsung has already started running this technology. It is called the Neon AI which is digital humans with human mannerisms, sentences and capabilities. Digital humans should not be a surprise, there will come a time very soon where you can hire an accountant, an assistant or a helper that looks and talks like humans but is actually not a human.

Some of these can seem shocking and unbelievable, but this is the truth of technology. It is ever-expanding. Things that come out of this expansion might look haunting, but are life-changing tech inventions in multiple ways.
