Linux: RedHat Desktop

RedHat has brought out a Linux desktop for the enterprise segment. With it, the company aims to provide them a secure and manageable solution.The RedHat Desktop features open-source office applications such as an e-mail client, browser, instant messenger, office suite, imaging and multimedia, along with installation support and a year of upgrades and updates. The RedHat Desktop will be made

available in configurations that include either RedHat Proxy or Satellite servers. As for the Desktop's future, it will be shaped and

enhanced with the support of industry partners such as VM Ware, Real, Macromedia, Adobe and Citrix that are working towards enabling cross-functionality with other technologies.
