Burn your CDs in less than 3 mins at 52x with this 52x24x52 CD-ReWriter, which is the fastest we have reviewed so far. An internal IDE drive with an Ultra-DMA/33 interface, 2 MB cache buffer and buffer under-run protection, it took only 2:33 secs to burn 650 MB of data on 52x recording media (22 secs faster than the Iomega 48x CD-Writer). For direct CD-to-CD data copying, it took 2:38 secs to copy 650 MB, which is very fast. To make an audio CD from a wav file, it took 2:32 secs (to create a 73 mins audio CD). To copy an audio CD, it took 4:29 secs. Its performance with CDRW media was good. It took 22 secs to format the media. Data transfer rate was low, coming to 0.76 MBps on 10x CDRW media. The drive is a good buy.
