Live Video Streaming on Mobile for XIX Commonwealth Games

Organizing Committee Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi today announced the launch of Live Video Streaming on Mobile for the XIX Commonwealth Games that would bring the Games closer to millions of Indians across the country and would allow them to watch the live action anywhere on their mobile phone. The Live Video Streaming on Mobile is being offered in partnership with Smile of India, a knowledge services firm.

Commenting at the launch, Suresh Kalmadi, Chairman, Organizing Committee, Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi, said, “We have always taken pride in leveraging Delhi 2010 platform for showcasing latest technical advancements to the world.  Live Video Streaming on Mobile allow mobile users in India across the length & breadth of the country to catch all the action even when they are on the move and do not have access to television”.

Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 Mobile Video Streaming would work on diverse handsets and can be accessed from http://m.zoomi.in  and requires a GPRS connection. The live video streaming is free of cost to the user, however data accesses charges apply.

The Commonwealth Games are being held in New Delhi from October 3rd to 14th 2010. This is the biggest sporting event in the history of India.
