New Update

The Logitech PowerShell is sturdy, has the perfect weight to give it some heft, like an Xbox 360 controller, so it feels substantial in your hands. The rubbery surface at the back is well-suited to a gamer's grip, as well as it has been nicely designed with well-placed ridges where your fingers will rest. Slotting the iPhone in the PowerShell is also innovative. Apart from sliding like in Moga Controller, in PowerShell rests in the frame with lightning connector as input jack. The phone's Home and lock button are both accessible. The small tab on PowerShell top frame is linked to a lever and with just a push you can lock/unlock the phone. Even though the phone fits in frame, iPhone still retains its full functionality, thanks to its slim form factor can be carried around easily. Camera can also be used even when phone is sculpted into PowerShell as there is cut section on the back of phone and you can take pictures and videos easily.

Controls - The PowerShell features an analog single D-pad, 4 color-coded and lettered buttons, and two shoulder trigger buttons plus a dedicated pause button as compared to Moga and StellSeries controllers which have extra two analog pads and dual triggers. The buttons and triggers feel solid too. All the buttons in PowerShell are analog not digital i.e pressure sensitive.

Performance - As compared to SteelSeries Controller, PowerShell doesnot require Bluetooth connectivity, simply put in your iPhone or iPod, so you don't have to worry about pairing your device. The lists of games that PowerShell supports are Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Lego Lord of Rings, Sonic the Hedgehog, Anomaly 2, Asphalt 8, The Wolf among Us, Bastion,Contra Evolution, Shadow FIght etc. The PowerShell gives you full game controller-like support and let you use your phone or iPod touch like Nintendo 3DS or PlayStation Vita. When we played various games through PowerShell, the game playing experience was much comfortable than via on-screen controls. When we played Asphalt 8, controlling the running car was smooth and the controller felt handy and comfortable to use and play. In some games the D-pad required much harder pressing to register the desired input. Contra Evolution, an FPS game worked well with the PowerShell and there was no difficulty in aiming for shoot and during gameplay. Games like Minigor 2 and Dead Trigger 2 may require a second input whether on screen controls or another stick for more accurate game play. You can still use iphone on-screen controls while playing and certain games require mix of touch and controls. In Dead Trigger 2 aiming using D-pad was much difficult and you still had to use touch screen. Racing games worked better than FPS games. PowerShell lacks some extra buttons when playing complex first person shooter, driving games and as a gamer one would want all the controls for powerful game playing. Complex games like GTA:Vice City and GTA:San Andreas end up playing reasonably but using analog pad instead of D-pad would have been much better option. PowerShell also packs a 1500mAH battery to its appeal but there is no way to tell how much battery is still left. On an average it charged about 15% in 10 minutes when the phone is not in use.
