M&B Footwear : CONQUEST

M&B Footwear is in business of manufacturing and marketing of premium brand
shoes and has two manufacturing units located in Baddi and Noida. They also have
a fast growing retail chain apart from country-wide distribution network.
Relying on the legacy systems to get information and compiling that data was
time-consuming, thereby resulting in unnecessary inventories. The organization
felt the need of deploying an ERP solution through which the organization's data
could be consolidated on a single platform and make every process in the
organization integrated and seamless. Though the organization decided to deploy
ERP, but choosing the correct ERP solution that specifically addresses
manufacturing, distribution and retailing besides materials management and
finance functions for a footwear industry was a challenge. The organization
finalized their search on SAP's Apparel and Footwear Solution (AFS). But
implementing the solution was also a challenge as domain expertise for the AFS
solution was not available. With this, the organization became the first Indian
footwear company to have successfully deployed the SAP AFS solution.
