As we all know ERP and CRM packages are being used extensively for better
management of information in an organization. Machwan Communication and Research
had already implemented Microsoft Dynamics, but the challenge they were facing
was to provide quick and updated information to their clients. Their
relationship management campaigns required regular interaction with customers of
clients and quick responses had to be offered to the customers. Initially they
would take the query from the customer and get in touch with the client for
resolution through mails. Sometimes the client would be busy on other activities
and resolution would take time. Also they needed to keep their clients updated
on the progress of the campaign. To overcome this, they implemented a hosted
version of Microsoft Dynamics and migrated existing data from the CRM solution
to this new hosted version. Then they shared license of hosted CRM with their
clients so that everyone can get latest information. Due to system in place the
client is on a continuous update mode and can log in any time of the day to see
the status which in turn has reduced communication errors. Besides reducing
response time, as the solution is hosted, lot of maintenance and management
issues related to an implemented solution were also overcome. There was no
investment made for new hardware and the only requirement to use this solution
was broadband connectivity and a machine with a compatible browser
