New Update

Mahindra tractor dealers are working with a unique sales system called MSS (Mahindra

Sales System), which helps a dealer to manage his business in a user-friendly

step-by-step process. The first step in managing the business as per MSS is

generation of enquiries for prospective customers. A salesman registers an

enquiry in the NPCC (New Prospective Customer Card) and later keeps track of and

follows up for the same.

When the salesman moves in the field for enquiry generation, he keeps a blank

paper form with him to write customer details. At times he will miss out on some

details or sometimes the cards could get lost while traveling or handling. Also

the salesmen would come for submission of recorded inquiries and review, once in

a week at the dealership, which resulted in delay for following up for 7 working

days. Mahindra was looking for a solution in which data would reach the

dealership offices instantly and they could respond to queries of salesmen

immediately. To meet this objective a mobile application has been developed for

the salesmen to add the data in their mobile itself. This application has been

installed in the mobile phone of every salesperson who moves in the field for

generation of inquiries and follow ups. A GSM model is installed at the

dealership to receive the data sent by the salesman in the form of an SMS. All a

salesman needs to do is just open the application in the cellphone and add the

details. The data entered by the salesman goes out as an SMS. This SMS is sent

to the GSM model located at the dealership. Hence, data collected from the field

is instantly available at the dealership for analysisand decision making, as it

comes in the form of SMS and can be sent from anywhere.
