MakeMyTrip app for Windows Phone

MakeMyTrip today announced that its hugely popular mobile travel application is now available for Windows Phone. With this, MakeMyTrip has become the only travel portal in India to have a presence across all platforms on the mobile channel - with apps for Android, iPhone, Blackberry and Windows phone, and WAP and Touch mobile-sites. More than 1.5 million MakeMyTrip apps have been downloaded across platforms so far, offering users a hassle-free, secure and fast travel booking experience. Windows Phone users can download the free application from Windows Phone Store. The app will enable them to search, compare and book flight-tickets and make hotel-reservations, with just a few clicks.

Elaborating on the launch of the MakeMyTrip Windows Phone, Mr. Amit Somani, Chief Product Officer, MakeMyTrip said, "We are really excited with the launch of our mobile app for Windows Phone that targets a new set of users. Amit further elaborated on the travel-planning app launched for Nokia Asha phone, "It also gives me great pleasure to share the Route-Planner app launched on the Nokia Asha phone. This app provides users possible travel options between any two destinations in India, which can be booked from the mobile site. The app also supports social sharing of routes. We want to offer our travel-planning and booking services on every mobile device basis its capability, so different users can experience the convenience of these benefits."

To celebrate the launch of the application on Windows Phone, MakeMyTrip is running an early bird offer for Windows Phone users. The first 500 transactions on Windows Phone application will get Rs 500 as cash back on every Domestic Flights and Hotels booking. Using the MakeMyTrip app, customers can book domestic flights, compare fares, manage their trip itinerary, check flight schedules and even find interesting restaurants on their trip. One can integrate their calendar with the flight bookings and get reminders, share updates on Facebook and Twitter, check changes in flight schedules and receive instant alerts for too-good-to-be-missed travel deals.
