This is a new category we have introduced this time. Here, VSNL emerged as the
winner, having a significant lead over runner up Reliance Infocomm. Other
companies that made it to the club were Sify and Airtel. Interestingly, US based
data centers also made it to the club.
As managed data center services is still a relatively new area, its knowledge
among a lot of industries is still pretty low. That's why, even though VSNL
emerged as the winner, its brand perception was the highest only in discrete and
process manufacturing and the BFSI segments. It was also high in IT/ITeS and
eduction industries, but pretty low everywhere else. Reliance Infocomm on the
other hand was not as strong in manufacturing and BFSI, but enjoyed the highest
brand perception in communication media, education, and healthcare industries.
Sify on the other hand, had the strongest brand perception in the services
industry, while its perception is pretty weak in healthcare, BFSI and the two
types of manufacturing industries. Airtel had the strongest brand perception in
the IT/ITeS segment. Industries where its perception is low, are manufacturing,
BFSI, and services.
The brand loyalty in this segment are also relatively high, because you're
not likely to move out of a data center so easily. VSNL enjoyed 71% brand
loyalty, with 5% of its existing users saying they're likely to switch to Airtel.
Brand loyalty of others received statistically insignificant votes for us to
analyze.
