After getting the responses for this category, we found an
astonishing 30+ brands providing this service. But only five of them
managed to make it to the elite Users' Choice club. The winning brand
in this catagory is HP, and runner up is IBM.
Wipro, HCL Infosystems and Sify are also there.
With so many brands in this segment, the obvious question that most
IT decision makers are likely to face is how to choose the right one.
We tracked the reason for HP and IBM amongst their existing owners as
well as those who're likely to take their services in the near future.
Interestingly, there was no single dominant reason for choosing either
of these two brands. All four reasons we'd asked for-brand value,
reliability, initial price, and after sales support/service received
nearly equal votes with minor skews. Only in case of IBM's existing
users, initial price was not a major worry. Brand perception by
industry however was slightly better. HP had the highest brand
perception score across most industries, except education and services.
IBM was dominant in services, and it had strong perception in
healthcare, BFSI, and process manufacturing.
Coming to brand loyalty, 46% of HP users said they were not going to
shift to another brand, while only 26% of IBM users were loyal to their
brand. Interestingly, 19% of IBM's existing owners said they were
likely to shift to HP, while 8% of HP's are interested towards IBM
