Similar to Managed Network Services, this segment too has many players but
the number that made it to the User's Choice club is 4. The winner in this
segment is again HP with 41% of survey respondents using it. The brand also has
maximum top of mind recall percentage of 37%. Other members of the User's Choice
club are IBM, Wipro, and Sify with Sify being the new entry this year. When we
compared relative indices of the current and past years, both IBM and Wipro have
lost some ground which in turn has resulted in gains for Sify.

the major players.
Future Brand Preference
Reasons
Product reliability saw the maximum votes as the key reasons users might opt
for HP and IBM services in future.

Product reliability and initial price are two major factors for likely
purchase of services from both HP and IBM amongst our participants, with a
higher percentage going in favor of the former. Brand name is not given a lot of
weightage in case of HP, whereas it's high in case of IBM with 59% of users
who're likely to go with IBM in the future giving brand name as the reason.
A similar trend is observed in after sales service and support as well.

In vertical and zone wise analysis, HP and IBM seem to be the dominant
brands. HP is leading in five verticals among eight we surveyed with the
remaining three dominated by IBM. Healthcare is one sector where IBM needs to
focus more as its brand perception (among surveyed participants) seems
negligible. In geographical zones, HP is leading in three out of four, while IBM
leads in north.

Brand Loyalty 2010 vs 2009
Barand loyalty for Wipro has improved remarkably over 2009, HP saw a
moderate gain and IBM saw a minor decline.

When it comes to brand loyalty Sify and Wipro are in a better position as
compared to leaders, HP and IBM. A higher percentage of their existing customers
said they were likely to continue with the same brand in the future as well.
Wipro has the highest brand loyalty of 83% with Sify second at 80%. IBM has the
least brand loyalty of 45% with HP in second place at 60%. It seems like HP is
still going quite strong in this segment.
