Zebra’s 105SL is a sturdy printer that prints bar-code labels at a maximum speed of 8” per second. The standard resolution is 203 dpi, but you can go for a 300 dpi
printhead. The maximum print area is 4.09” width and 106” length with 203 dpi resolution. It has onboard memory, of which 2 MB DRAM and 750 kB of Flash is available to you. You can also connect another 8 MB Flash memory PCMCIA card.
You can connect the printer to your LAN through a serial or parallel port using ZebraLink software. You can also install Zebra PrintServer II to monitor and control the printer remotely using a Web-based interface. You can then configure it to send you alerts over e-mail when actions, such as printing getting stuck, happen.
The printer supports many linear and two-dimensional bar codes, as well as fonts and graphics (including logos) that you define. You can print boxes, circles and diagonal lines on labels with it.
Apart from the 300 dpi printhead, more memory and remote control software, you can choose from accessories like
full-width cutter with catch tray, rewind spindle, European and Asian font sets, and Bar-One software.
