New Update

A very lightweight and compact multi-function device with an ink tank by the side of device. The inkjet based device is capable of color print, copy and scan and is ideal for home and small offices.

Setting up the device is easy. Just install the driver using the driver CD or downloadable software available on the Epson website. Design is fine but the build is frail and looks cheap & plasticky. The good thing is you will not have to worry to move this device in your office because of size (18x12x5 inch) and weight which is 4kg. The input and output paper capacities are 100 & 30 pages respectively. Monthly duty cycle is about 6500 pages. For the control panel, there is no display. There are only five basic buttons including power, print, copy, scan and ink level. A handy choke valve is there to lock the ink system during transport to minimize leaks and ink wastage. L355 can easily be connected to Wi-Fi to allow prints in a wireless environment. iPrint is there to have the facility of mobile and cloud printing.

The performance part is not very promising if we compare it with other MFP in this segment. We tested the device with a standard set of test pages as per ISO  standards. It took 23 secs to print first color page with an overall print speed of

4ppm. And for B/W tests, the result displayed 20 sec for first page out with a total of 5 pages per minute. Print quality is very fine with crisp and intact letters for B/W prints whereas it is ordinary for color prints. For copying, you cannot have multiple copies in a single go, so that is a big drawback. Scanner works fine, taking 11 sec for a B/W page and 16 sec for a full graphical page.
