HP 6525 is a very competent and affordable Inkjet and color multi-function printer which has the capability of print, copy and scan, not fax. It is mainly targeted towards home and light office use.
Setting up Advantage 6525 is a breeze with any of the two interfaces --USB, or Wi-Fi. You will not find smart install feature here but still installation is hassle free. Overall build & construction looks solid and sturdy. The MFP doesn't consume much space (17x22x6inch) and with a weight of 6 kg, it's very easy to move around. The input and output paper capacities are 80 & 20 pages respectively. The MFP boasts features like ePrint & AirPrint to have the flexibility of getting prints from anywhere through an Internet enabled device. You can download free apps from HP sites to wirelessly print directly from your smartphone. Also, there is a memory card slot for walk-up direct printing. There is a 3.45 inch color touchscreen for easy print, copy, scan, and access web content.
In terms of performance, we didn't any standout results. In the test with standard ISO 24712 & 19752 pages, the device took 21 sec to print first color page and overall 5 color pages in a minute. Whereas for B/W part, time taken was 14 sec
with 10 pages per minute. Print quality of B/W pages is nice but that of color part is not up to level. Copying performance and quality is exactly similar to that of printing. Scanner took 26 seconds to scan an A4 B/W and 30 seconds to scan full
graphic color A4 page. One encouraging part is the ability to print, copy and scan on both sides of pages.
