Micromax Informatics Ltd. announced the launch of its latest flagship Canvas 5 that brings forth the ‘best of all-in-one’ proposition to consumers. The Micromax Canvas 5 smartphone brings together an appealing form factor, 3 GB RAM, 2900mAh marathon battery and 4G LTE capability, the smartphone ensures seamless multi-tasking at unbelievable data speeds.

With Canvas 5, Micromax is looking at further breaking the price and performance barrier to ensure accessibility to a complete uncompromise smartphone for the tech savvy segments. Further, to make it easily accessible to consumers, Micromax has tied with Bajaj Finance to run a ‘12 month EMI scheme’ wherein consumers will have to pay four advance EMIs at the time of the purchase. Not only this, the consumers will be provided with a 7 day doorstep service policy promising a more convenient user experience.

The Canvas 5 is packed with a 1.3GHz Octa Core processor and has the added Video Pop-Out feature which allows users to “pop-out” the video from the video player in a separate window, and move it around. To top it all, the new smartphone comes with the Smart Wake Gestures which are primarily designed for convenience and quicker accessibility.

Equipped with a 13 MP camera with 3M2 image sensor, the Canvas 5 promises the users an outstanding shooting experience with PDAF, picture in picture feature. It has 5 MP FF front camera, video pop-out, panorama mode with 4X zoom, night mode, pre and post photo settings. The smartphone is equipped with a 5.2-inch FHD (1920×1080) IPS screen. Full Lamination Technology in the smartphone improves sunlight readability drastically at the same time utilizing battery power judiciously.

The 2900 mAh battery of the phone has the Content Adaptive Backlight Control (CABC), which helps to manage power and also enables the consumers to adjust the image being displayed so that it seems brighter, allowing the actual backlight to be dimmer.

The new Canvas 5 smartphone is disruptively priced at Rs. 11,999/-, and is available in two colors; Space Grey and Tan Brown.
