Micromax Mobiles has started taking pre-orders for its latest Canvas model, Canvas 4 that will be officially launched in the country on July 8. Micromax has created a name for itself in the smartphone market with its Canvas brand just like how Samsung created its standing with its Galaxy product range.

Canvas HD was the company’s first quad-core offering in the country which was received quite well and now with Canvas 4, Micromax is looking to take things to a whole new level.

Reports indicate that Canvas 4 could pack a 2 GHz quad-core processor or even an octa-core processor and based on Android 4.2 version. What we do know is that Canvas 4 comes with a 13 MP rear camera and a hint of metallic finish as per detailed in the teaser images.

The Canvas 4 can be ordered by paying Rs 5,000 on http://www.canvas-4.com/, however the company has not released hardware specs of the smartphone, so we are not sure as to how many people would be willing to bet their money on an undisclosed phone.

But to keep the consumers on their side Micromax is willing to bet on its Canvas 4 and offering re-fund to the pre-book amount if the phone does not come to their liking. The hardware specs of the Canvas 4 will become clearer in the coming weeks.
