Micromax will soon be entering the octa-core sphere of smartphone market in India by launching Canvas Knight in the coming weeks. According to reports, Canvas Knight is a 5 inch smartphone with full HD display but sadly expected to run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS only. But the biggest catch about Canvas Knight will be its octa-core chipset which was announced by Mediatek late last year. The device comes packed with a 2 GHz octa-core CPU clubbed with 2 GB RAM that should help the Knight to deliver top-notch performance. On the camera front, one can expect a massive 16-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with auto focus.

Micromax plans to offer 32GB onboard storage with no word on option of memory expansion. As depicted in the image above, Canvas Knight comes in a sleek form factor that looks strikingly appealing and elegant.

The company has not share any pricing info on the Canvas Knight but one can be rest assured that it is set to be Micromax's most expensive device, assumed to be breaching the 20k mark.

We will be hearing more about the device in the coming weeks with the company expected to host its launch event for the device in India. Canvas Knight will be joining the ranks of Intex and iBerry among others in the country.
