The best thing about NEC MultiSync 1560V is the price. At Rs 23.5K, it’s a great buy for those wanting to switch over from CRT to LCD monitors, both organizations and home users. It comes with a 15” LCD monitor and is quite slim, saving you desktop space. The monitor’s power consumption is also very low, just 20 Watts, which is lower than many other LCD monitors in this price range. However, the monitor compromises on features such as digital input, etc.

A good feature in the monitor is the software configurable screen adjustments such as size, position, brightness, contrast, etc. This is done using software called ‘NaViSet’, which is available for both Mac and Windows. Since it doesn’t come with the monitor, so you’ll have to download it from the website, www.necmitsubishi.com. Upon installation, the software recognizes the monitor easily and starts working.

The monitor works best at 1024X768 resolution with 75 Hz of refresh rate. We tested it using a benchmark called Nokia Monitor Test, and the NaViSet software. The monitor performed well in all the tests, which means good quality output.
