The Asus P4S133-VM is a good P4 motherboard for office users. It is based on
the SiS 650 chipset and supports Socket 478 processors with 400 MHz FSB only.
The on-board video is supplemented with an 4x AGP port that can be used for a
better performing card, and sound support is provided in the form of a SiS 7012
AC97 codec that has 5.1-channel sound capabilities. This chipset runs using
SDRAM memory, and can accommodate up to 2GB of it in its two memory banks. 2 USB
ports are present on the motherboard itself, and two more can be put using a
module that is included in the package.

Additionally, the board also has smart card reader and infrared support. All
motherboard configurations can be done through the BIOS setup, and no physical
changes to jumpers are required.
We tested the motherboard using a 2.2 GHz P4 processor, 128 MB PC-133
SDRAM, GeForce 2 GTS and Seagate Barracuda ATA II hard drive. SiS has really
been bringing out some good chipsets over the recent past, and the performance
of this motherboard is another example. It was able to give us just as good
scores as the other Intel and VIA chipset based boards. A 51.4 in Content
Creation and 46 in Business Winstone 2001 justifies this opinion. In Quake III
Arena, it delivered an impressive 207 fps at 640x480x16 and 207 at 1024x768x32
resolution.
The Bottom Line: At Rs 5,450 this motherboard makes quite a good deal.
Its micro ATX form factor can be accommodated in small cabinets that are typical
of most office settings, and there are no major features lacking.
