The Motorola Edge 40 Neo 5G, the latest 5G smartphone, was released in India on Thursday (21 September). The new Edge-series phone has a hole-punch display with a refresh rate 144Hz and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7030 SoC. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a dual rear camera configuration led by a 50-megapixel main sensor and is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 68W wired fast charging. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo device was first revealed in certain foreign regions last week. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo is projected to fight in the sub-Rs. 25,000 pricing range alongside the Realme 10 Pro+, iQoo Neo 6, and Samsung Galaxy M53 5G, among others.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo pricing and availability in India

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo is priced at Rs. 23,999 in India for the primary 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. The most expensive model, with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, costs Rs. 25,999. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo phone will be available in three colours: Black Beauty, Caneel Bay, and Soothing Sea, and will be available on the company's India website, Flipkart, and select retail outlets beginning 28 September at 7:00pm IST.

Motorola provides a special seasonal discount of Rs. 3,000 on the device. However, there has not been any news on how long this launch promotion will be available. The Moto Edge 40 Neo's launch offerings include a Rs. 1,000 discount for purchases with specific bank credit cards and EMI transactions. In addition, no-cost EMI alternatives begin at Rs. 3,500 per month.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo technical specs

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo dual SIM (nano) smartphone runs Android 13 and has a 6.55-inch full-HD+(1,080x2,400 pixels) poLED curved display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Motorola promises two years of operating system upgrades for the newest device. It is powered by an octa-core 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7030 SoC, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB of internal UFS2.2 storage.

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo boasts a dual rear camera arrangement that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) capability and an f/1.8 aperture, as well as a 13-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and an f/2.2 aperture. It sports a 32-megapixel camera on the front. It is dust and splash-resistant, with an IP68 rating.

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, FM radio, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, a 3.5mm headphone connector, and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity choices on the Motorola Edge 40 Neo. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and SAR sensor are among the sensors aboard. For authentication, it has an in-display fingerprint reader. It has two stereo speakers that are augmented by Dolby Atmos technology.
