Today, Motorola unveiled the Moto G13, a budget smartphone, in India. The reasonably priced Moto G13 appears to be the perfect device for content consumption thanks to its quick 90Hz display and dual speakers that support Dolby Atmos playback.

Other amenities include, among others, a huge 5,000mAh battery and an IP52 splash-resistant design.

The Moto G13 has a 6.5-inch 720p IPS LCD display with a hole punch cutout in the middle and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

The Moto G13 features Panda glass screen protection from Motorola. PMMA is used to construct the budget phone's body. It only weighs 170 grams and comes in matte charcoal or lavender blue, your choice.

You get a MediaTek Helio G85 processor matched with 4GB of LPDDR4X Slam and up to 128GB of stockpiling. This can be expanded. Motorola has committed to an assured upgrade to Android 14 as well as up to three years of security updates.

The software that runs the show is almost identical to Android 13. The package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged using 10W of USB Type-C.

The Moto G13 comes with three cameras for taking pictures. This consists of a 50MP main sensor and two 2MP sensors, one for macro photography and the other for portrait photography.

It has a selfie camera with 8 MP on the front. Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, a headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometrics complete the package.

Price and availability

In India, the Moto G13 starts at Rs 9,499 for a model with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. Buyers will pay Rs 9,999 for a model with 128GB of storage, which is twice as much.

The Realme C-series phones, such as the recently launched Realme C55 and Xiaomi's soon-to-be-released Redmi 12C, will compete with the Moto G13 at its price. General availability is scheduled for April 5, 2023. The Moto G13 will be sold across Flipkart, Motorola's own site, and driving retail locations.
