Gaming laptops based on the Centrino2 platform are still not commonly found.
Gaming notebooks also enjoy a great demand amongst professionals looking for a
machine that can run graphically challenging apps on the go. This is where the
GX620X from MSI comes in. With just the right amount of red, the notebook looks
well, what gaming laptops are just supposed to look like. With desktop like
keyboard, working on it becomes really easy but can take some time to get
accustomed to. It also features a number of touch sensitive keys for one touch
operation like turn on/off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc.

Though high on features, it was performance of this machine that managed to
blow our minds away.

The notebook is powered by a Core 2 Duo processor running at 2.0GHz coupled
with 4Gbs of RAM and an nVIDIA Geforce 9600M GT with 512 MB of dedicated video
memory. After seeing the Windows Experience rating of 5.0, we tested the
notebook by running a few benchmarks. It gave a score of 4964 on PC Mark 05
which is great. In 3D Mark 06, it scored a massive 5055 which is the best we
have ever seen in a notebook. Even better than the likes of the MacBook Pro
which costs a lot more. It managed to survive for 2 hours and 11 minutes after a
full charge which is decent.
