Myntra EORS: 1.5 million Wishlists with Products Worth INR 7000 Crore Created Following Price Reveal

Offering a preview of the largest fashion sale event- End of Reason Sale, allows Myntra to tap the fashion aspirations of hundreds of thousands of people across the country. Shoppers were allowed to preview the current edition of the sale slated to be held between 3rd and 5th January on the 1st of January.

In addition to the preview, a price reveal between 7 pm and midnight, called upon shoppers to shortlist picks and put up wish lists to stand a chance to win VIP access to the sale, a few hours before opening at 12 am on January 3rd. A quick look reveals that the wish lists of 36% of the people are loaded with sportswear, sports shoes, and accessories pertaining to fitness. While men preferred to bag more of Tshirts, Casual Shoes, Shirts, and Sports Shoes, women preferred Tops, Kurtas and Dresses. A total of 1 crore products worth Rs 7000 Crore (MRP value)  had been wish-listed by 1.5 million people as of 6:30 pm on 2nd January.

Myntra’s CEO Ananth Narayanan said,The concept of preview and price reveal before a sale, allows for an incredible fashion shopping experience. It is part of our efforts to make it more exciting and engaging for our customers and we continue to develop and innovate on this front. We have received a great response to the preview of the 5th edition of Myntra’s EORS, with 1.5 million wish lists created as of 6:30 pm today and an additional 1.5 million apps downloads, which is a 30% growth over the previous edition.”

The concept of previewing the sale during the no-sale day period, a day before the sale was first introduced in the last edition of EORS in July. Taking this concept a step further during the current edition, Myntra is allowing shoppers the opportunity to be among a privileged few who can begin shopping, a few hours before it opens its doors to the nation. In order to be chosen for the same, shoppers had to score points by playing a game on the app and create a wish list on the day of the preview. This move has led to the platform witnessing heavy traffic even on a no sale day with over 8 lakh VIP slots allotted for EORS.

Also, for the first time, customers have been offered the chance to preview specific brands in advance and benefit from access to wish lists created by celebrities such as Salman Khan, Virat Kohli, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan to discard any doubts about trends or fashion.

This edition of EORS offers customers discounts of 50%-80% on leading brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Forever21, Swarovski, Tommy Hilfiger, Jack & Jones, Flying Machine, Marks & Spencer along with Myntra’s private labels such as Roadster, Anouk, Dressberry etc. With a sales target twice as much as the previous edition, Myntra is putting up 3.5 lakh products from over 2000 brands on sale during EORS. This brings an opportunity for over 15 million shoppers across the country to buy the latest designs and styles from the world’s leading brands.
