Netease LifeAfter game review

Netease games have a lot of popular mobile games like Rules of Survival, Creative Destruction, and Knives out. Many don't know this but Rules of Survival was the first-ever mobile battle royal ever created and it was Netease games who made it. Though maybe one of the most played games developed by Netease was LifeAfter. Lifeafter is one of those games that actually takes mobile gaming to another level with its in-game story and mechanics. Truth be told, if you are someone who likes games with an actual storyline and character development along with a heavy dose of MMO then lifeafter is for you. Even as we played Lifeafter for this review we found a thriving community of players though most if not all seemed to be from China since the game is more popular in that region. One thing that needs to be mentioned is that Lifeafter is an Android game and has been ported for PC as well. It is not available on iOS and consoles. If you want the PC version of the game then head over to the Netease website. So here is the LifeAfter Review.

LifeAfter Review For Android

Lifeafter is definitely not your everyday mobile game. The story goes that a virus has destroyed our planet and now there are zombies roaming around the world along with weird and scary mutated monsters and a few survivors of the virus. There is an organization called Hope 101 that is trying to make the planet a better place for the humans who have nowhere else to live. What separates LifeAfter from thousands of mobile survival games is how it tackles the idea of what post-apocalyptic earth will look like and how the survivors will behave without the items that are normally available in our non post-apocalyptic earth.

Players start by logging in the game and being taken to a small tutorial to learn some basics of the game. One of the best features of Lifeafter is crafting and building. Yes, you will need to craft everything from an ax to harvest wood to a gun to shoot off zombies. To harvest materials for building players will need to cut down trees, break stones, and use their heads to plan since most materials will cease to exist after a specific time period since they are not your factory-made axes and guns.

Players can team-up with their friends in the game and go harvesting together but beware of the zombies. Unlike most games where zombies are an added feature that rarely appears in the game, LifeAfter makes zombies and mutated monsters the focal point of the game. Whether you are just roaming around and harvesting materials for your crafting or trying to find food to eat you will cross paths with zombies.

Eating and diet are a big part of the game along with feeling cold and sleepy. Truth be told, it is one of the best mobile game that we have played in a long time. Players will need to consume food in order to have stamina and to preserve health. The more players work in the game the hungrier they get. Also, sleeping is important since in a realistic scenario players will need to conserve their energy but beware of zombies who can attack you in your sleep if you don't fortify your house. Yes, you will be building your own house in the game as well. There is so much to do in the game that you will never be bored but definitely hungry for more.

Final Thoughts on LifeAfter

Netease LifeAfter game review

LifeAfter is a massive game in size but it is one of the few games that actually is worth all those GBs. Netease has created an amazing game and it shows. The only problem with the game that we faced was on budget devices and the fact that it is not available on iOS.
