HCL Infosystems launches O'zone cloud services suite for all types of

cloud models




HCL Infosystems announced the launch of HCL O'zone, a cloud computing solution.
It will also provide 24X7 technical support to manage scalability and deliver

optimum performance. It will offer a plethora of services with multi-tenancy

enablement, performance testing, pricing structure management, service catalogue

management, provisioning & administration, access control & policy control,

service delivery platform integration and application management enablement. The

company has also launched a cloud-based solution, HRMate, a solution for human

resource management, and has partnered with Wellogic to roll out India's first

Healthcare Information Exchange Platform on the cloud.

Kasab's trial managed using Scrum Systems' Labourworks



The courtroom trial of the lone surviving member of the terrorist group

behind the 26/11 attack was unprecedented in ways more than one. The infamous

Ajmal Kasab was tried in a special court that gave its verdict 17 months after

the catastrophic event. Despite of his inhumane crimes, the spirit of Indian

democracy shone bright as he was tried in a fair manner in a civil court with

complete transparency. Pune-based Scrum Systems' Labourworks, was deployed at

the Arthur Road jail for maintaining strict vigil over everyone attending the

court room trial. Designed for managing temporary workers, the software uses a

biometric signature verification to authenticate a person. Everyone visiting the

court room, right from journalists to the Indo Tibetan Police Force (ITPF) were

scrutinized through this system and issued an ID Card. The card was packed with

a variety of complex safety features to help avoid counterfeiting and forging.

This ID Card along with bio-metric verification was used for attendance in the

courtroom.
