Xiaomi has officially locked in the launch of its next flagship, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, putting an end to weeks of speculation. The company confirmed via Weibo that the phone will be unveiled in China on December 25, while also offering the first official look at its design and colour options.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will arrive in three colours: Black, White, and a new Starry Green variant. The Starry Green model stands out with mineral particles embedded in the rear panel, giving it a metallic, textured finish. Xiaomi’s teasers also confirm a triple rear camera setup, housed in a large circular module.

Design-wise, the phone features a flat display, segmented volume buttons, and a slim 8.29mm profile, suggesting a cleaner, more refined look compared to earlier Ultra models. Internally, the device is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

Leaks point to serious camera hardware, including a 1-inch main sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto, and upgraded Leica optics. While the December 25 event is China-only, Xiaomi is expected to roll out the 17 Ultra globally in the coming months.

Bengaluru Comic Con 2025 closed on a high note after drawing more than 50,000 visitors over two days at KTPO, Whitefield, reaffirming the city’s place as one of India’s most engaged pop-culture hubs. The event brought together comics, anime, gaming, cosplay, and live entertainment in a format that felt more community-driven than ever .

Cosplay remained a major highlight, with over 500 participants transforming the venue floor. The Bengaluru qualifier of the Indian Championship of Cosplay was won by a Borderlands 4-inspired costume, which took home the ₹50,000 prize. Fans also turned out in large numbers for panels, anime quizzes, creator interactions, and illustration discussions.

International guests included Robert Capron, Peter Nguyen, and Chloé Hollings, while Indian comic creators and gaming personalities such as Techno Gamerz, Mythpat, Payal Gaming, and Jonathan drew steady crowds. Gaming zones, brand experience booths, and live performances by artists like Karma and Smokey The Ghost kept energy levels high throughout the weekend.

Organisers said Bengaluru’s audience stood out for its depth of engagement, with fans spending hours exploring panels, artist alleys, and gaming arenas. Once again, Comic Con proved to be less about spectacle and more about shared fandom, creativity, and connection.
