Nimbuzz offers 100 minutes of international calling

Nimbuzz and LG Mobiles announced a partnership to bring Nimbuzz to LG's new L - Series III smartphones. This series comes preloaded with Nimbuzz and will provide customers with 100 minutes of free international calls to any number in the US.

Nimbuzz came into the calling business last October after getting a license for paid call services in India. Their application enables people to enjoy free & low cost mobile phone calls, free Video Calling, free instant messaging, social networking and other rich communication features using the internet capabilities of the their mobile device.

The mobile messaging giant has over 150 million users globally and enjoys a current growth rate of over 210000 new registrations each day or a new Nimbuzz user every second, and an international user footprint of more than 200 countries, covering every corner of the globe.

On the tie-up, Nimbuzz CEO Vikas Saxena feels that "Voice calling is fast changing into an Internet based service from being a telecom one". That's why this tie-up with a smartphone maker makes sense. LG's marketing head for mobiles, Amit Gujral feels that "voice calling is fast becoming an internet based service".

He feels that this extension of affordable international calling platform to users will draw maximum value for both LG and Nimbuzz, and the growing popularity of affordable smartphones and increasing adoption of Wi Fi /3G networks will only accelerate this technological shift.
