Nokia launches Lumia 1520; first Windows Phone phablet in India for Rs 46,999

Nokia India has unleashed it's first-ever Lumia phablet device in India for price of Rs 46,999. The Lumia 1520 was first announced at the Nokia World event that was staged in Dubai earlier this year. The 1520 is Nokia's first ever 6 inch Lumia phablet running on Windows Phone 8 platform and comes with whole lot of new features and hardware.

At this price, the Lumia 1520 competes with Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Max the big display phablets selling in the country right now. Lumia 1520 is a combination of powerful hardware packaged under a well built Nokia-made body. The Lumia 1520 sports a 6 inch full HD display and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 Black platform.

Under the hood, the phablet packs the 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU with 2 GB RAM that powers the Sony Xperia Z1, Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 etc.

Continuing its tradition of offering Carl-Zeiss lens camera, the Lumia 1520 is fitted with a 20 MP rear camera for top quality imaging experience and a 1.2 MP front camera. The phablet has a 32 GB internal storage space, which is expandable up to 64 GB via microSD slot. This powerful big display device gets a deserving 3400 mAh battery that should easily last for more than a day. Also, you have the basic connectivity options FM Radio but weighing at 209 grams the phablet does not come cheap or light.

Nokia has decided to go out with a bang and with Lumia 1520 the company has added a stellar product t its Lumia line-up in the country.
