The new offering from Symantec, Norton 360 v4, provides all

the functionality of Norton antivirus and Norton Internet Security Suite. Plus,

it incorporates all features that were missing in the Norton Internet Security,

which lacks the backup capabilities with some PC Tune up features. The same is

the case with Norton AV that lacks features such as identity protection,

networking, backup, etc. We know that Norton AV protects from viruses, worms,

trojans whereas the Internet security suite protects from viruses as well as

secures & monitors a user's network. So this solution is a full-fledged solution

with the combined capabilities of both. Moreover, it extend its functionality in

networking, identity protection, backup capabilities, PC tuneup, viruses, trojan

horses, spyware, bots and many more.

The software assures users of security by identifying

trusted files and also helps in increasing the computer performance. For backup,

you get 2 GB of online storage, which is available for the dentire duration of

the software's 12-month subscription life.

It also has a useful Norton Task menu that shows the

computer's CPU and memory resource history. The function includes displaying

graphs of processor and memory usage that helps to identify programs which might

be causing problems. Moreover with the Startup Manager, you can simply turn off

startup items or delay them so that your computer runs faster.

The application took less than a minute to install and the

UI is intuitive & easy to use. To test its effectiveness, we started by

installing viruses and spyware onto the system and then started with the

scanning process. The time taken to scan the entire drive full of viruses was 1

hour and 38 minutes. The application was able to fix 7321 risks out of 9656

risks found.
