Nothing Phone 1 launched in India at a starting price of Rs 32,999

Nothing has finally launched its first smartphone in India. The Nothing Phone 1 smartphone has an aluminum frame, and glass on the back and features a 778G+ chipset with multiple storage availability. It also features a 4,500mAh battery with 33W wired charging support and 15W wireless charging support.

Nothing phone 1 specifications:

  • It has a 6.55-inch 1080×2400 120 Hz OLED touchscreen with 1,200 nits peak brightness, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, Gorilla Glass 5 on top, and symmetrical bezels on all four sides.
  • A dual rear camera system comprising of a 50 MP f/1.88 Sony IMX766 1/1.56″ main sensor with OIS and a 50 MP f/2.2 Samsung JN1 1/2.76″ ultrawide sensor with a 114-degree field-of-view.
  • On the front side, embedded in the punch-hole within the display, is a 16 MP Sony IMX471 selfie shooter.
  • The Nothing phone (1) runs Nothing OS (1) based on Android 12. The key with the software is reliability, so it’s not a heavy skin, and it’s promised to not have any bloatware. Nothing also promises three years of Android updates and four years of security patches every two months.

Further, the Phone software does come with stock Android, like a Quick Settings control for Nothing ear 1, TWS earbuds, and another one for Tesla cars, allowing you to turn on the EV’s lights, or AC before you enter it, which makes it conditions quite customizable the way you want it.

Well, the main unique selling point of this device which is already being talked about known as the “Glyph interface”, LEDs that are also over there, and these are placed next to functional areas of the phone, so they can show you relevant information. The phone, however, doesn’t come with a charger in the box.

The Nothing phone (1) starts at Rs 32,999 in India for the 8GB/256GB variant on Flipkart. The 8GB/256GB is priced at Rs 35,999 and the 12GB/256GB is priced at Rs 38,999.
