This new service has been started to allow users to store their pictures, videos and documents, etc. This new move of Chinese firm Tencent is a solution to the limited space on the devices. According to the company statement, users can access the “Favourite” on their chat screen and save files directly to could memory. The saved files and documents can be access on multiple devices anytime.

Nilay Arora, Tencent India Vice-present, Marketing and Business Development, said “The ‘Favourite Message with 1GB cloud storage’ feature enables users to save their favourite memories in the form of texts, videos and picture format without having to compromise on their device space and, also enables them to access these with just one touch whenever they want.” He also added that this implementation would encourage interaction and add value to the overall communication experience of users.

With this kind of cloud storage option now, WeChat has become the only social messaging platform where users can click and share their life moments with others freely.
